be an engineer capable of competing globally, besides being technically
knowledgeable and skilled, engineering students should possess excellent soft
skills, nurture team work and leadership qualities. The department gives
considerable importance to personality development and motivates students to
participate in such creative activities. To achieve these objectives, in
addition to academics, the students of the department are given sufficient
exposure to co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Under the 100

to various open cast / underground mines operated by reputed agencies like
Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited (GMDC), Hindustan Zinc Limited
(HZL), Ashapura Mine Chem Limited, Shanghi Industries LTD, etc. for four weeks
training programme. After the completion of their degree programme, many
students are suitably placed with above referred agencies with fairly good
salaries. Moreover, some students interested in pursuing higher studies, joined
well known Universities and IITs for acquiring their master’s degree.
